I'm Jen, I grew up in West Los Angeles. I'm a first generation college student, now a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Sociology and minoring in Education. I aspire to be a college advisor and a mathematics educator in hopes of helping bridge the inequality gap between low-income and affluent communities. Outside of academics, I enjoy helping the immigrant community at the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, going hiking, playing soccer, reading, blogging and taking photographs.
Hello, I'm Jennipher Ramirez. I am a sophomore at UC Berkeley with an intended Public Health major. I am from southern California in the Los Angeles area. I lived in Mexico for four years. My first language was Spanish and I learned English by watching movies, reading, and listening to the radio within a years time. My ultimate goal is to help people and bring joy to their life!
My name is Yvette Ankunda, I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in business with a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. I have been with YSP since freshman year and I am so happy to be a part of this community. I firmly believe that mentoring students, particularly when they are in that awkward middle school stage can transform their lives. Over the past three years with the program, I have learned so much about myself because of my mentees.
